AWI Consulting specialises in offering a range of Employee Assistance Programs to a number of organisations.  All AWI Consulting EAP services promote employee wellness in the interests of supporting better workplaces and quality of life for employees and their families.

Your Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides counselling and support to all employees and immediate family members.  You can feel comfortable using your EAP to confidentially discuss any work or personal issues that are an inevitable part of life.

Often organisations will request that their Employee Assistance Program links with active Peer Support Teams or present to employees at team meetings.  AWI Consulting can provide basic training (e.g. grief and loss) and support.  Advantages of this approach include a better understanding of emotional and mental health issues within the workplace.  Managers and employees are also better equipped to support their colleagues, identify team members who may require assistance and encourage help-seeking behaviour.

What is an EAP?

An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a benefit provided by organisations for their employees and related family members.  For individuals it provides access to confidential counselling on a range of work and personal issues and no cost to the employee.  For organisations it provides a support resource for employees, managers and teams to assist with day to day issues and major events.

The counselling service provided by our EAP is:

  • Completely confidential
  • Voluntary
  • Staffed by professional and experienced counsellors
  • Available for employees & immediate family members
  • Provided by the company at no cost to the employee
  • Available after hours for urgent issues


Accessing the Service

The decision to make an appointment, whether by self-referral or encouraged referral, is the individual’s choice and participation is entirely voluntary.

Who Pays For The Service?

Your employer has fully subsidised the EAP. The EAP is free to all employees and immediate family members.

In the interests of proactively addressing issues of concern, AWI Consulting encourages employees to seek counselling at an early stage.  This often prevents concerns from developing into a major problem.
